Santo Domingo from a different perspective

Photo walk in the capital

It's worth taking the time to wander aimlessly through the streets of a city every now and then. That's exactly what I did as I tried to change my usual perspective and show you the capital from a slightly different angle and side.

This time, I didn’t take photos of the typical iconic monuments and famous pedestrian streets, but rather sought out less-visited, yet beautiful places. I looked for buildings that have a distinctive, captivating atmosphere that is characteristic of the Caribbean and the Dominican Republic.

I made an effort to pay attention to details, shifting the focus from the usual subjects to the visual spectacle. I wanted to capture the diversity and the vibrant colors that immediately draw the attention of visitors. The houses depicted in these photos are sometimes worn and chaotic, yet they radiate an authentic and original Dominican milieu. There’s a simple, genuine, and inimitable charm about them.

Come, let’s explore the hidden wonders of Santo Domingo together!
