"City Tour in Altos de Chavón"

Altos de Chavón was built in the style of a 16th century medieval Mediterranean town. It was opened to visitors in 1982 with a grand concert by Frank Sinatra.

Since then, numerous world-famous artists have performed in the 5000-seat open-air Greek-style amphitheater. Today, the town is a popular destination due to its medieval charm, architecture, many cigar, clothing, and jewelry shops, restaurants, bars, and craft stores.

The center, St. Stanislaus Church, is a popular wedding venue in the Dominican Republic with a unique view of the Chavón River. The Altos de Chavón Archaeological Museum houses one of the most extensive collections of prehistoric culture in the Dominican Republic.
